1. DIY Storage Jars: I’ve been loving chalkboard labels for a while now, it’s so handy that Martha Stewart has some pre made ones! I have a few jars laying arond, I’ll definitely be making these.
2. Summer Outfit: I love how easygoing this outfit is. I can easily see the top transitioning into fall too! I’ve been dying to get a bubble necklace so I think this is the perfect chance to get one, although I don’t want to pay the J.Crew price. I read on another blog that they can be purchased on Amazon here.
I really don’t know how I’m going to survive in my dorm without a toaster.
Can’t toast bagels in the microwave you know. I mean, I’m sure the cafeteria has bagels and a toaster but still.
Not the same.
While I was mourning the sad reality of my toaster-less cubicle of a dorm in the fall, I decided to put my mind towards something more important.
Like snacks. Healthy snacks! Well mostly healthy. You’ll notice that I didn’t include things like bananas, apples, oranges, and etc. in the list (aka the healthiest options) and that is because I figure those are already pretty obvious snack choices. The goal here is to give you a few ideas to spice up your snackin’ life. And while they may not be as healthy as a piece of fruit, I did make a point to choose the healthiest prepackaged snacks I could find because they’re convenient and don’t take up any of that precious mini fridge. When choosing a prepackaged snack, make sure to pay attention to the ingredients list, sugar content, and additives.
I have a little story for you today.
A few months ago, I made enchiladas.
Somehow, my mexican food cravings netted me a schmancy new bobby pin holder.
The best part is, I want you to be able to make a neat bobby pin holder without actually having to make enchiladas so I made a handy tutorial with only four easy steps! But you could, you know…make some anyway? Go to a restaurant and order one? If there is one thing I know besides how to make a holder for my beloved bobby pins, its that enchiladas are tasty. At least eat some guacamole or something. Then go make this!
In my efforts to stay in my skinny jeans, I try to keep my fruit and veggie consumption a wee bit higher than my cookie consumption.
There are only 2 problems here:
1. cookies are essential to my being
2. produce is expensive
But the key to life is balance right? Thankfully, I’ve found quite a few successful ways to have a good supply of fruits and veggies on hand without completely emptying my wallet.
